Behind the person

I came,

I saw,

I got lost.

It was great.

How I did it

my JOURNEY

1999

The first year I went abroad that I vividly remember

Ciao, Roma! This is the year I joined my school’s art group to tour Italy. Between playing a lot of Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego and this trip, I began to develop an unrelenting curiosity for the world.

Much of my travel was originally to explore different cultures and alternatives ways of living, then integrate bits of it to expand and improve life at home.

2017

I became a certified professional, lol

Turns out … that can be a career. After floundering about with some career and lifestyle choices, I went back to university.

In 2017, I was awarded my PhD in International Business, then promptly started working in academia. Now I teach and publish research on the complex intersection of international business activities, (ir)responsible practices, and community empowerment.

2025

The year I did this

Started my fifth small business to help others navigate the world through stories, art, maps, and mischief shenanigans.

I have reached 30-something unique countries, territories, micronations, etc. Several of which I have returned to many, maaaaaaaaany times.

Every year I try to go somewhere new (haven’t been to), somewhere old (have been to), and somewhere with friends (because I want to).

... to be continued
